Hi all,
Our open call is off to the races—as of this writing, we’ve already received 99 submissions. Will you be our 100th?
Our early-bird deadline for submissions is Monday, February 17. We just onboarded our 25-person screening team, and they’re ready to get started. Early-bird submissions mean reduced rates for filmmakers, and additional time for our team to review everything coming in.
Submit your film now for the best rates!
📺 Shorts & Episodics:
$30$15 until Feb. 17⭐️ Features:

Why do we charge? CFF is a nonprofit organization, and submission fees directly support the festival. We strive to keep the fees affordable, and we do offer a limited number of submission fee waivers to anyone for whom the entry fee presents a barrier to submission.

Why stop there? Film submissions are open for NewFilmmakers LA 2025 programs! The NFMLA Monthly Film Festival is a uniquely intimate opportunity that provides a filmmaker-focused festival approach by an intently devoted team.
The NFMLA Monthly Film Festivals are uniquely filmmaker-focused, offering to filmmakers: screenings, meetings with industry professionals, press interviews, industry panels, audience Q&A sessions, networking receptions, and qualification for the Best of NFMLA Awards. NFMLA festival selections include features and shorts, narrative and documentary, live-action and animation, and domestic and international films.
The 2025 Festival season will include programming from NFMLA's InFocus initiative, which seeks to combat the lack of diversity in media by featuring a specific group of underrepresented voices each month.
