🎓 Join CFF’s Next Gen Climate Film Collective

Are you between 18 and 26 and passionate about climate change, storytelling, film, and the arts? Join a dynamic ambassador cohort with our Next Gen Climate Film Collective! Apply here by 5pm on Friday, February 27.

CFF’s Next Gen Climate Film Collective invites residents of New York City and the surrounding region who are between the ages of 18-26 to participate in an ambassador program about climate, film, media, and the arts.

We’re looking for NYC’s next generation of climate ambassadors and storytellers. With the support of the CFF team, the Collective will engage with different aspects of organizing an impact-driven film festival, including:

• Voting for a Youth Choice Award at the September 2026 Festival

• Writing guest posts for the CFF newsletter

• Curating a Climate Film Club screening

• Meeting like-minded, dedicated peers in pursuit of climate action

• Providing critical assistance and perspectives on the climate crisis from the point of view of NYC-based youth

Next Gen Climate Film Collective members will be selected from across the five boroughs and beyond. The group will meet on a regular basis in Spring 2026, with an option to extend during the Summer and Fall seasons. Participants will have the opportunity to both attend in-person screenings and workshops throughout the year and to provide hands-on volunteer help at the annual Festival in September. Last call for early bird film submissions! If you (or a filmmaker friend!) have a film to submit the festival, you have until the end of the day today to enjoy our early-bird discounts.

Film submissions are open until May 15, but our early bird deadline offers reduced rates for filmmakers:

• 📺 Shorts & Episodics: $30 $15 until Feb. 19

• ⭐️ Features: $40 $25 until Feb. 19

• 👨‍🎓 Young Filmmakers: $15 $10 until Feb. 19
