Join us for the Opening Night Celebration of the second annual Climate Film Festival, kicking things off with the 25th anniversary new 4K remaster of the iconic film, Erin Brockovich.
Directed by Steven Soderbergh and written by Susannah Grant, the film is a dramatization of the true story of Erin Brockovich, portrayed by Julia Roberts, who initiated a legal case against the Pacific Gas and Electric Company over its culpability for the Hinkley groundwater contamination incident.
The film screening will be followed by a conversation with Michael Shamberg (Erin Brockovich Producer), Alina Simone (CFF participating filmmaker), and Angela Barranco (Executive Director of Climate Group North America), moderated by Guardian journalist Dharna Noor.
