CFF, happening September 19th - 22nd, will be here before we know it!
We’re spending the summer building community, sharing some standout films, and gearing up for the festival. Next Week: Pop-Up Events at London Climate Action Week
June 21-29 marks London’s Climate Action Week 2025, the largest city-wide climate festival in Europe. We’ll be there with two special pop-ups:
The Meltdown w/ Messy Women, Purpose, & Hero: Tue, June 24
Where: Secret Location TBA, E1
When: Tuesday, June 24, 7PM - 11:45PM
The Meltdown is an underground party during London Climate Action Week that provides a raw space for people who are tired of performing optimism in a world that feels more impossible every day, yet somehow, still have genuine hope that revolution is within our grasp.
Expect art, music, film and a room full of your people. In partnership with the Climate Film Festival and Purpose, The Meltdown is organised by Messy Women and HERO.

Himalayan Glaciers w/ Earth Flicks & Chill and x+why: Thu, June 26

Next up, we’re thrilled to co-present a screening and a panel featuring a whirlwind journey across the Hindu Kush Himalayas at @xandwhyspace People’s Mission Hall! In collaboration with CFF ’24 alum Deej Phillips’s series Earth Flicks and Chill, the Climate Film Festival presents a short film series featuring Himalayan glaciers — and the ingenious solutions being developed and implemented to tackle water scarcity in mountain communities across the region.
Full film details coming soon, but in the meantime, don’t miss this chance to experience an intimate look at one of the most breathtaking regions on Earth.

🐾 Recap: Endangered Species Month Screening
We recently wrapped up Endangered Species Month in partnership with FOUR PAWS, a global animal welfare organization, with a triple screening of three powerful films.
We watched DETHRONED (2024, dir. Will Foster-Grundy), a photojournalist’s quest to uncover humanity’s destructive relationship with big cats; WILD HOPE: Coral Comeback (2024, an HHMI Tangled Bank Studios and Red Rock Films Production), an exploration of cutting-edge research to protect coral reefs from decimation; and Batsies (2023, dir. Liz Unger), a short, experimental documentary following two wildlife biologists advocating for bat conservation in Texas.
After the films, we were joined by filmmakers and conservation experts for a rich panel discussion about wildlife, biodiversity, and the link between conservation efforts and climate change.
Thanks to all who joined us for this inspiring night of film, conversation, and community.
