We’re excited to invite you to the NYC theatrical release of We Are Guardians! This award-winning documentary—directed by Edivan Guajajara, Chelsea Greene, and Rob Grobman and executive produced by Leonardo DiCaprio—follows Indigenous forest guardians in Brazil who risk everything to protect the Amazon.
Join us for three premiere events featuring post-screening conversations with Indigenous leaders, filmmakers, and changemakers on the frontlines of environmental and human rights defense. Special guests include Puyr Tembé, Indigenous leader and protagonist, Secretary of Indigenous Peoples of Pará, Brazil (host of COP30); Fisher Stevens, Academy Award-winning producer, actor, and director; Chelsea Greene & Rob Grobman, filmmakers; and Steven Donziger, environmental and human rights attorney.
In addition to these special events, there are five showtimes per day from July 11-17, so this is NYC’s chance to experience the film on the big screen—don’t miss out and tell your friends!
🌎 Recapping London Climate Action Week
Usually repping climate cinema in NYC, we were thrilled to bring the Climate Film Festival spirit across the Atlantic for this year’s London Climate Action Week!
Our takeaways? Climate narrative is thriving in the U.K., and we need more of it to meet the moment. A few highlights: catching a screening with Netflix and Climate Spring at the BFI, panels from Solutions House and Creatives for Climate, and chats with filmmakers from around the world.
We also hosted a few events of our own, from an underground party with @messymessywomen, where we screened selections from our experimental program in our first gallery program, to a showcase of three films on the water crisis in the Himalayas at @xandwhyspace with @earthflicksandchill.
Big love to everyone who joined us across the pond, and onward to CFF 2025!
🎞️ Wild & Scenic Film Festival: Submissions are Open!
Our friends at the Wild & Scenic Film Festival have opened film submissions for their 24th annual festival in February 2026! WSFF features environmental and adventure films from around the world that illustrate the earth’s beauty, the challenges facing our planet, and the work communities are doing to protect the environment.
The event welcomes the submission of docs and narrative shorts and features—especially those that embrace the annual theme: “Mobilize.”
Early bird deadline is July 18. Learn more and submit your film here.
